Test item background
Hardness is the ability of metal to resist deformation or fracture in local volume of surface. It not only has an approximate empirical relationship with static strength and fatigue strength of materials, but also has some indirect relations with cold forming, cutting and welding properties. Therefore, the hardness value has a certain reference significance for controlling the quality of material cold and hot processing technology.
Static tension can measure the elastic deformation, plastic deformation and fracture process of the most basic mechanical properties, including modulus of elasticity, yield strength, tensile strength, elongation and section shrinkage. These performance indicators are the inherent basic properties of materials and an important basis for engineering design.
Impact test can obtain dynamic performance indexes such as impact toughness and impact absorbing power. It is very sensitive to the critical brittleness tendency and metallurgical quality and internal defects of materials in use. It is a very convenient way to check the brittleness tendency and metallurgical quality of materials.
Testing equipment: material universal testing machine, impact testing machine, fatigue testing machine, all Rockwell hardness tester, Vickers hardness tester, Brinell hardness tester, Richter hardness tester, etc.
