Recently, Huabi Laboratory has successfully obtained the certificate of accreditation from DNV-GL, which is awarded by Norwegian-German Classification Society. It has become one of the few laboratory expert institutions in China that can simultaneously meet the requirements of Hong Kong Shipbreaking Convention, EU Shipbreaking Regulations and Guidelines for the Compilation of Hazardous Substances Inventory. The acceptance of this qualification is the recognition of Huabi Laboratory's professional testing ability, and also promotes the laboratory to play a greater role in the green process of China's shipping industry.

As the world's leading classification society, DNV-GL helps the maritime industry manage risks and covers the entire life cycle of ships. Provide a range of technical and operational services, including classification inspection, statutory certification, fuel inspection, etc., to help achieve high-quality shipping. DNV-GL has more than 300 outlets in more than 100 countries and regions, with a total fleet size of about 13,000 vessels and 250 million tons.

The Hong Kong International Convention on the Harmless Recovery and Reuse of Ship Safety and Environment in 2009 has put forward the requirements for the control of harmful substances on ships. Whether it is the competent authorities of flag state, classification societies, shipowners, shipyards or shipbreakers, they have always expressed great concern and attention. The EU Ship Dismantling Act, which entered into the effective period at the end of 2013, further advanced the green construction and management of all parties'ships. The Act requires that applicable ships must develop lists of hazardous substances and obtain certificates of certification; EU registered ships can only be dismantled through EU-approved ship dismantling facilities, which must undergo specific certification and routine inspection. The Act also applies to all existing ships flying the EU flag, newly built ships, ancillary products and non-EU flag vessels berthed in EU ports, as well as ship dismantling facilities for dismantling EU ships. In terms of content, the EU Shipbreaking Act is more demanding than the Hong Kong Convention. Perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS) and salts (PFOS) and hexabromocyclododecane (HBCDD) are added to the list of hazardous substances. This brings greater operational challenges and new requirements to domestic shipbuilding, dismantling and upstream and downstream enterprises of ship product supply chain.

It has established a perfect harmful substance testing laboratory to provide professional third-party services and integrity for all parties in the industry. Solution.
